OneMerge Data Stewarding Conditions

The purpose of this article, OneMerge Data Stewarding Condition, is to provide step-by-step instructions for creating a Data Stewarding Condition applicable to a given Salesforce Object. Data Stewarding conditions pause the merge of identified duplicate records, when records meet certain criteria. This allows for manual intervention and validation before merging records. Data Stewarding conditions apply to OneMerge Standard Edition and OneMerge Enterprise Edition.

Option 1 – Setup a Data Stewarding Condition using Guided Setup

Follow these steps to create a new Data Stewarding Condition:

  1. From the OneMerge Application Home Page, click Guided Setup in the footer.
  2. On the first screen select the Setup Action Manage Merge Rulesets and click the Next button (as shown below).
  3. On the next screen select the Merge Ruleset the Data Stewarding Condition applies to and select Edit the Selected Setting, click the Next button.
  4. On the next screen select Manage Data Stewarding Conditions and click the Next button (as shown below).
  5. On the next screen select Create New, click the Next button.
  6. Enter the field values the Data Stewarding Condition applies to and select Continue, click the Next button.
  7. On the next screen, select Save and click the Next button.
  8. The next screen should show a table with any validation errors, click the Finish button.

Option 2 – Custom Metadata Types

To create a new Data Stewarding Condition follow these steps:

  1. Open the Salesforce Setup menu.
  2. Select Custom Code>Custom Metadata Types.
  3. Click Manage Records Data Stewarding Condition.
  4. Click on the New button.
  5. Enter the details for the Data Stewarding Condition and click the Save button.
