Agent Action Create Merge Rule

This article provides an overview and example of the OneMerge Agentforce Agent Action – Create Merge Rule, available with OneMerge build 1.83 upwards.

The OneMerge Agent Action can create a new Merge Rule through a conversational Interface. The Steps below show you how, but please note that the response from Agentforce may not be exact.

  • Open Agentforce (to enable, follow the steps in the Data Quality Agentforce Actions article).
  • Enter the text ‘I would like to create a new Merge Rule’.

The first response will be to ask which Salesforce Object the Merge Rule will be created for. The Merge Ruleset is the existing OneMerge Ruleset setup for the Object in question. Merge Rules are added to Merge Rulesets.

  • In this example, we will create a Merge Rule for the Salesforce Standard Object Account.

The following information will be requested. To answer, do so in turn by entering the number and then the response. If you answer question 3 as newest or oldest, then you will be asked to specify the field name to be used as the priority, i.e a Date/Datetime field. Once the Merge Rule has been Created, you will then be asked if you would like to add fields to this Merge Rule.

Once complete you will receive a success message.
