Edit a Merge Ruleset

This article introduces the new Feature for OneMerge, Merge Rule Setup. The new Feature, a separate tab within OneMerge Free, Standard and Enterprise Editions, provides a simplistic view of the Merge Rulesets and Merge Rules configured. After implementing OneMerge, there are standard Merge Rulesets and Rules pre-configured for Accounts, Contacts and Leads. The new Merge Rule Setup feature provides the ability to be able to amend these by adding more fields to existing Merge Rules, move fields to different Merge Rules or create new ones. You can also clone, edit or create a new Merge Ruleset within OneMerge Free Edition.

The following demo provides an overview of how to edit a Merge Ruleset within OneMerge Free Edition. The limitations for active Merge Rulesets are explained in the Product Information section within the website.

Test Scenario

1. Click on the Merge Rule Setup tab.
2. Select the Merge Ruleset dropdown.
3. Select Standard Merge Ruleset for Leads.
4. Select Edit Merge Ruleset.
5. Select the checkbox ‘Is Abort on Cross Match?‘.
6. Click on Save.

The Standard Merge Ruleset for Leads has now been updated with the change. You can validate this by selecting the Merge Ruleset from the dropdown, or by selecting it through the Guided Setup.
