OneMerge Merge Activity

The purpose of this article is to provide step-by-step instructions for using the Merge Activity feature within OneMerge.

The Merge Activity tab provides an overview of duplicate resolution outcomes and the work completed by OneMerge. The purpose of this feature is to provide a snapshot of Merges that have occurred over a specific time frame, and also by whom.

Initial Setup

Before using the Merge Activity feature, a new field needs adding to the OneMerge Merge Result page layout.

To add this field:

  1. Navigate to Setup.
  2. Select the Merge Result object.
  3. Open the Merge Result page layout.
  4. Add the field ‘Resolution Type‘.
  5. Select Save.

Merge Activity Tab

The Merge Activity tab provides an overview of the Merge activity that has happened over a specific time period. The Resolutoin Breakdown displays how many records were merged by a user, an agent or automatically. This information provides clarity on how often users need to validate whether records should be merged or not.

You can filter the results by date, object and resolution type. You can also search for a specific group of records.

Merge Activity

The list displayed shows the results of Merges as determined by the filters applied. You can then select one of the results, and view in more details. The following options are also available:

  • Open Master Record
  • Undo Merge
  • Copy Activity ID

The Resolution Summary shows the Resolution Type, which is the new field that was added to the Merge Result page layout.
