How to Create Data Stewarding Conditions using Guided Setup

OneMerge Create a Data Stewarding Condition

The purpose of this article, OneMerge Data Stewardship, is to provide step-by-step instructions for the creation of Data Stewarding Conditions using the Guided Setup, for a given Salesforce Object. This article is applicable to OneMerge Standard Edition and OneMerge Enterprise Edition.

OneMerge Data Stewardship pauses the merge of identified duplicate records, when records meet certain criteria, allowing for manual intervention to validate whether the duplicate records should be matched and merged.

Test Scenario 1 – How to create a Data Stewarding Condition using the Guided Setup

To create a new Data Stewarding Condition, follow these steps:

  1. From the OneMerge Application Home Page, click Guided Setup in the footer.
  2. On the first screen select the Setup Action Manage Merge Rulesets and click the Next button (as shown below).
  3. On the next screen select the Merge Ruleset Standard Merge Ruleset for Accounts and select Edit the Selected Setting, click the Next button.
  4. On the next screen select Manage Data Stewarding Conditions and click the Next button (as shown below).
  5. On the next screen select Create New, click the Next button.
  6. Enter ‘VIP Customer’ in the Data Stewarding Condition Label field and select the Checkbox Field ‘Is VIP?’,  select Continue, click the Next button.
  7. On the next screen, select Save and click the Next button.
  8. The next screen should show a table with any validation errors, click the Finish button.
