OneMerge Application Settings control key automation and processing behaviour. Following installation, OneMerge automation starts inactive so that administrators can review the configuration before enabling processing. 

Start from OneMerge Home > Setup. Select the Salesforce Object and review OneMerge Activation Status. New installations begin with OneMerge automation inactive. Use the relevant Activation Status action to review or change configuration, then use Guided Setup where detailed Application Settings are required.

Guided Setup remains available for detailed Application Settings configuration. Only enable the functionality required for your implementation after Duplicate Management, Merge Rules and other relevant configuration have been reviewed and tested. 

OneMerge Free Edition uses scheduled merge processing and does not include Realtime Merge. OneMerge Standard and Enterprise Editions support Realtime Merge, Scheduled Merge, or both. 

Data Stewardship is optional. Enable it only where identified duplicate records should require review or additional stewardship controls before merging. 

OneMerge Configure Application Settings in Guided Setup

Test Scenario 1 – Delete the Merge Log Entries after 10 days

To configure the default Application Settings to delete the Merge Log Entries after 10 days, follow these steps:

1. From the OneMerge Application Home Page, click Guided Setup in the footer.
2. On the first screen select the Setup Action Manage Application Settings, and click the Next button (as shown below).
3. On the next screen, change the Delete Merge Log Entries to 10. Click the Save button.
4. The next screen should show a success message, click the Finish button.

Test Scenario 2 – Change the Merge Log Level to Debug

To configure the default Application Settings for Merge Log Level to Debug, follow these steps:

1. From the OneMerge Application Home Page, click Guided Setup in the footer.
2. On the first screen select the Setup Action Manage Application Settings, and click the Next button.
3. On the next screen, change the Merge Log Level to Debug. Click the Save button.
4. The next screen should show a success message, click the Finish button.

Test Scenario 3 – Change the number of seconds after a Merge for Master Record Updates

To configure the default Application Settings to update Master Records after Merge to 20 seconds, follow these steps:

1. From the OneMerge Application Home Page, click Guided Setup in the footer.
2. On the first screen select the Setup Action Manage Application Settings, and click the Next button.
3. On the next screen, change the Master Record Update Seconds to 20. Click the Save button.
4. The next screen should show a success message, click the Finish button.
