Duplicate Record Set – Merge Decision Field

This field can be set to Accepted or Rejected values manually by a Data Steward who has reviewed the duplicate records, or the field value could be set by a record triggered Flow which could evaluate the records and make an automated decision to accept, reject or defer to manual review.

Duplicate Record Item – Is Preferred Master? Field

This field enables the Data Steward to override the automated priority logic for selecting the surviving record.

Application Setting – Is Data Stewarding?

This setting activates data stewarding; once ticked Merge Jobs are limited to processing Duplicate Record Sets with the field Merge Decision set to Accepted.

Data Stewardship Flow

This template flow can be used as-is to review Duplicate Record Sets and set the Merge Decision and Is Preferred Master? fields. The flow can also serve as the template for new flows with specialised behaviour.
