Merging Duplicate Records in OneMerge can be an Automated Process or can be processed Manually. This demo shows the Salesforce Contact Merge using OneMerge Automated Merge feature, by scheduling Merge Jobs.
Test Scenario
- Navigate to the Contacts Tab.
- Two duplicate records exist for Lupita Alonson.
- Select the Guided Setup from the footer to schedule the Merge Job.
- Select Schedule the Merge Job.
- Click the Next button.
- Select the Salesforce Object ‘Account’.
- Select the Schedule Type ‘Now’.
- Select the Next button.
A success message is displayed that the Merge Job is now scheduled. Viewing the two Duplicate Contact Records will show that one has become the Master Record (based upon configuration) and the Merge Rule Lineage displays which values have been used to append to the Master Record (again, based upon Merge Rule configuration).
One of the unique features of OneMerge, is the ability to be able to rollback the Merge Result. This is particularly useful during testing phases and when trying to decide what Merge results you want to setup. The Merge Rule Lineage displays a link to the Merge Result. By clicking on this link ,you are taken to the Merge Result page. Within here, you can select the Rollback button (the example below is for Account Merge).
