This blog post introduces a new Feature that has been added to OneMerge Free Edition, to help with the initial configuration setup and permissions for users. It has been added to the Home landing page as a separate sub tab, alongside the Dashboard and Guidance.
The purpose of the OneMerge Setup Status is to provide an overview of the current status of your OneMerge configuration for the selected Salesforce Object.
There are 4 panels displayed within the Setup tab:
- Duplicate Management.
- User Permissions.
- Merge Rules.
- Merge Jobs.
Training articles have been written to provide a more detailed overview but a brief snapshot overview is provided below.
Duplicate Management
This panel provides a status of the Matching and Duplicate rules for the Salesforce Object selected.Salesforce Duplicate Management provides Matching Rules (duplicate identification) and Duplicate Rules (what action to take). OneMerge extends these standard features with Merge Rules (duplicate merge automation).
User Permissions
This panel provides a list of Permission assignments and related configuration pre-requisites for review.
Merge Rules
This panel displays the Merge Rulesets and associated Merge Rules status for the Salesforce Object Selected. Merge Rulesets group the Merge Rules for a Salesforce Object and define the logic employed to select the surviving record (Master Record) within a group of identified duplicates.
Merge Jobs
This panel shows the status of the Merge and Matching Jobs and also whether Data Stewardship has been setup. Merge Jobs are scheduled to merge Duplicate Record Sets reported by Salesforce Duplicate Management. This is done by using the logic defined by the active Merge Ruleset for the Salesforce Object.
