OneMerge Merge Rule Setup

New Feature ! Help with configuring Merge Rules using OneMerge Merge Rule Setup.

This blog post introduces the new Feature for OneMerge, Merge Rule Setup. The new Feature, a separate tab within OneMerge Free Edition and Standard and Enterprise Editions, provides a simplistic view of the Merge Rulesets and Merge Rules configured. After implementing OneMerge, there are standard Merge Rulesets and Rules pre-configured for Accounts, Contacts and Leads. The new Merge Rule Setup feature provides the ability to be able to amend these by adding more fields to existing Merge Rules, move fields to different Merge Rules or create new Merge Rules.

The following demo provides an overview of how a field can be added to an existing Merge Rule using the new Merge Rule Setup feature within OneMerge Standard and Enterprise Edition.

 Test Scenario

  1. Click on the Merge Rule Setup tab.
  2. Select the Merge Ruleset dropdown.
  3. Select Standard Merge Ruleset for Contacts.
  4. Select the Merge Rule dropdown. This displays the Merge Rules associated with the Merge Ruleset.
  5. Select the Birthdate field in the list of fields displayed.
  6. Select the drop down and Add Field to a Merge Rule.
  7. Select the Name Merge Rule. (Screenshot below).
  8. Select Save.

When you now filter and select the Name Merge Rule from the dropdown, the Birthdate field will be displayed in the list if fields associated with the Merge Rule. You can also validate this by checking the Home Page and the Merge Rulesets displayed in the Status Column.
