OneMerge Cloning Merge Rulesets

Clone Default Standard Merge Rulesets to help with your own required Configuration.

When you first install OneMerge Free, Standard or Enterprise Edition, default Merge Rulesets are provided for Account, Contact and Lead objects and also for Person Accounts if this feature is enabled. It is recommended that rather than edit the configuration of the default Merge Rulesets provided, you clone these and then make changes. This way you can edit the cloned Merge Rulesets as much as you require until you are happy with the configuration setup, and still have the default Merge Rulesets to refer back to if needed.

Cloning Merge Rulesets in OneMerge is very straight forward and is a quick process, so it is worthwhile doing this before changing the configuration.

The following demo shows how to do this in OneMerge Standard and Enterprise Editions.

 Test Scenario

  1. Navigate to the Guided Setup in the footer of OneMerge.
  2. Select Manage Merge Rulesets. (Screenshot below)
  3. Select the Next button.
  4. Select Standard Merge Ruleset for Accounts.
  5. Select the Next button.
  6. Select Clone the Merge Ruleset.
  7. Select the Next button.
  8. The next screen displays a Success Message. Select the Finish button.

Clone Merge Rulsets

You now have a cloned version of the default Standard Merge Ruleset for Accounts. Now you just need to deactivate the default Merge Ruleset and activate the cloned one for testing purposes. This can be done through editing the Merge Ruleset, as shown in the demo.
