This blog post explores and demonstrates how to get started with OneMerge using the Guided Setup. The demo below will show how Merge Rulesets are configured, but also shows where other configuration components can also be accessed. The Guided Setup is within the footer of OneMerge, in all editions. This demo shows the Guided Setup within OneMerge Enterprise Edition.
Demo Scenario
- Click on Guided Setup in the footer of OneMerge.
- The first screen displayed is the Welcome page. This explains, step-by-step, what needs to happen to get up and running with OneMerge.
- Click on the Next button.
- The next screen shows the options available within Guided Setup, to assist with configuration.
- Select Manage Merge Rulesets.
- Select Standard Merge Ruleset for Accounts.
- Click on the Next button.
- The Merge Ruleset details are displayed. The help provides further information on each configuration.
- Click on the Next button.
- This screen is where the configuration is set that determines which record becomes the Master Record.
- This is where the configuration is setup that determines how the Field Values are selected. In this Demo, it is Newest by Created Date. This is applied to all Merge Rules by default. If Catch-all? is selected, it is also applied to fields that are not in a Merge Rule.
- Click on the Next button.
This now completes the configuration for Merge Rulesets.
